Glasses and Marketing Part 2- Paulaner Beer

There were two reasons I started the blog post series on Glassware and Marketing.

One was obviously the excellent job done by Sonshine Graphics, and the the other was a quick FB Thread that included Glenn and G&B Brewing….where it reminded me of some of my backlog of stuff to post about.

So, today we go onto the second post in the series (click these for Part 1 and Part 3), Paulaner Beer (Bier).

Back in the late 80’s and early 90’s, I drank a lot of German Beer due to living in Germany.  This really expanded my horizons, as each little town seemed to have its own favorite/local beer – especially when it came “Fest Time”.

I would love to know how many Fest Mugs have made the jaunt across the Atlantic over the years……and in many cases- how many have not survived transportation, divorce or just the rigors of time?

Enter Paulaner, who came up with a brilliant plan to include a liter can of beer, that ships inside the mug.  It is a perfect opportunity to either take a trip down memory lane, or provide a gift to someone to expose/remind them of the land of Beer and Honey.

I’ve only seen this twice, both around October – but I hope they continue with the campaign.

I’m sure many of you will enjoy it.
