Quote of the Day

I've got a great cigar collection - it's actually not a collection, because that would imply I wasn't going to smoke every last one of 'em.

Quote of the day

How solemn and beautiful is the thought that the earliest pioneer of civilization, the van-leader of civilization, is never the steamboat, never the railroad, never the newspaper, never the missionary – but always whisky! -Mark Twain

My favorite quote of the year

From my man…..Mike Tyson.

My life is like a tornado, a f---ing hurricane. It's like I'm a naked tornado that comes through a city and there's just so much wreckage. There's so much destruction, and when it's finally over, it's like the morning after and you're sober and ... what the f--- happened here

When I read about the evils of drinking, I gave up reading.

This Day in History

Nov 9 1953

Dylan Thomas allegedly drinks himself to death.

Who is Dylan Thomas, a Welsh Poet and writer who is quoted as saying

"An alcoholic is someone you don't like, who drinks as much as you do."

You can read more about him HERE, but I will close with this poem:

And death shall have no dominion.
Dead men naked they shall be one
With the man in the wind and the west moon;
When their bones are picked clean and the clean bones gone,
They shall have stars at elbow and foot;
Though they go mad they shall be sane,
Though they sink through the sea they shall rise again
Though lovers be lost love shall not;
And death shall have no dominion.

Fun Quote

Always do sober what you said you’d do drunk. That will teach you to keep your mouth shut.
