While I get they split tips (or should) with the cooks and busboys....to me, I find more value add with the bartender.edbellmcsehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07263919297406152341noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1441964287069378605.post-10836435254115680222011-08-17T11:34:36.820-07:002011-08-17T11:34:36.820-07:00These are pretty damn good.

[Same goes for the many pizza delivery guys I knew.]

What has no value is tips less than $1; it follows that it's pretty hard to tip less than $1 when you are using paper bills in increments of $1. :p

Servers with access to a register can just put that coin into the cash register and take out a bill--but it takes time. It's essentially the same thing they'll have to do when they cash out a credit card tip (especially ones that don't end in .00) and I'm pretty sure they want those.
Difference being the change weighs a lot more if it's in your apron and not a tip jar. :)

*Obviously* they'd prefer not to have to do that, so you should tip bills when you can.

Also, many of the servers I know use laundry machines at home, or play pool or pinball in their place of business, and appreciate quarters (in multiples of four).JChttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17786414234275458854noreply@blogger.com
